Conaty Park

Nestled in the northeast corner of Bryant University’s beautiful 387-acre campus is one of the finest playing facilities for intercollegiate softball in New England. Completed in the spring of 2000, the Bryant Softball Complex at Conaty Park has drawn unanimous praise from players, coaches, and fans alike for its meticulously maintained playing surface, comfort, and design.

The complex features stepped dugouts, fully enclosed bullpens for both teams, a batting cage, full irrigation, excellent drainage and a digital scoreboard. Spectators may sit in the bleachers directly behind home plate for an up-close view of the action or relax along the stonewall that adorns the field.

As for the field’s dimensions, the outfield fence is 190 feet from home plate at both foul poles and the center field fence is 225 feet from home plate.

The Softball Complex at Conaty Park has been the host venue of numerous Northeast 10 tournament games, as well as several NCAA Regional games in Bryant’s final years as a Division II program.

In 2011, the Bulldogs softball team enjoyed the comforts of a renovated locker room within the Chace Athletic Center. The renovation project began in November of 2010 and was finished in January of 2011. Each player has their own stall for the storage of their gear and equipment, and a flat screen TV provides the players with entertainment and learning opportunities.

In 2012, thanks to the generous contributions of alumnus Bill Conaty ’67, the Bryant Baseball and Softball complex was transformed into a first-class Division I facility.

The facility includes bleacher seating for 500, including 200 chairback seats, as well as a new state-of-the-art press box for all in-game operations and broadcasts, turning the facility into arguably the best baseball/softball complex in New England.
